Mario Strikers: Battle League Review
Mario Strikers: Battle League may be the most mechanically dense Mario sports game I’ve played. The latest Mushroom Kingdom spin on soccer looks to take the sport seriously, allowing you to juggle passes, tackle, dodge, and cancel moves as the…
Another year and another medicore barebones Mario Spinoff game.
Mario Odyssee was the last good Mario game sadly 🙁
Legs get sluggers
Now I know there will be DLC characters it makes me want it more!
What should've happened is they should have 1 Captain and the rest are sidekicks like the last game that way it adds more length to the game as you aren't experiences half the cast in Just 1 game
Luckily I don’t pay much attention to their reviews. This seemed a bit biased. IGN and Nintendo Life review was more fairly evaluated
like other sports games on switch, the game seems extremely barebones…like, the graphics, gameplay and ost is solid but the game is really lacking in the content department
Real smart of them to release this the year of the World Cup!
Hopefully they bring back Sluggers next!
He read the lines twice just lazy booking and writing. For a review.
No career mode is a complete joke. What's with these Mario sport games being release with no content?
The tutorials aren't dropped in your lap all at once. You pick what you want to learn. Way too exaggerative in a review
1:55 DEJA VU
The gameplay is excellent. Everything else is bare bones. I mean, look at Smash, a game filled with endless characters, stages and content. Then you have Battle League, with a few characters, tournament mode and exhibition mode. That's all we get.
thanks! i was going to buy this but after mario golfs bare minimum release i knew that soccer would do the same. ill just stick to the gamecube one
Editor leaving double lines in at 1:56 and 2:13 lol.
Why can’t I play with sideways joycon?
Sad
Good game but barebone in content
please release an update allowing you to disable items and super shots for cup play…
This game is a large step backwards from charged and the OG. The controls are bad and they added too much complication to the core gameplay.
Ehh, I played the demo and the tutorial wasnt overwhelming, you can skip the Expert stuff if they seem too much.
”My shots were blocked with pinpoint accuracy…”
literally fires three times straight in the goalie’s face.
I learned to steer clear from Switch Mario sports after Mario Tennis Asses.
“There’s not all that much to do” 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ bruhhh you’re here to play soccer
I didn’t knew gamestop still existed
3:17–3:27 THIS IS THE MAIN ISSUE I HAVE IN STRIKERS
Genius review. Instead of just saying "the game is super repetitive", they just repeat the same lines twice to really let the repetitive nature of the game sink in.
1:50 to 2:30 just repeated itself 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Nintendo has already announced future FREE DLC for the game and will be adding characters. I wonder why this wasn't noted in the review itself…..
Wait has Mario sports games ever had a career mode? I can't recall and shouldn't be a criteria or a measure. Also, the projectile note stating that banana, shells l, and bombs only serve as a projectile is redundant. They've been the same since Mario Kart for snes Banana can be dropped or thrown at an arc, green shekels bounce, red shells follow, and Bob ombs have aoe. Not sure why being different was an expectation
