Why do game companies make day one patches required instead of just adding it to the game file prior to release?
Bear in mind, the entirety of Dark Souls 3 was a mere 17.3 GB on PS4 at launch. Full patches with all DLC was around 25. So, base version with no patches is nearly double the size of DS3. Sekiro, meanwhile, was a nearly microscopic 12.5 GB in comparison. Given that, saying that this is 45-50 GB means this game will be massive, given how much From is able to cram into games of such a smaller size.
