  1. Overwatch 2? My deepest sympathy for those who have invested their time to reading fanfictions from 2016 and still on going. Maybe by some luck those lemon fanfiction will be concluded before overwatch 3. Here's holding thumbs.

  2. So for the past 2 or so years that we've been getting so very few new things aside from skins. They decide to gather it all together into one big piece and release it as another game when they could of slowly added it, this isn't the Blizzard I remember 🙁

  3. If those customizable abilities are in PvP gameplay I'm not touching this game. It'll mean new players get stomped when the game has been out for a while. But even if that isn't the case I feel like all they really did was spoof characters up and add a DLC to the game

  4. What's wild is half the people complaining that this could easily just be an update are still going to shell out the $60 because they haven't figured out how to vote with their wallets.

  5. You guys realize. They are wasting resources to make Archives a standalone ? now that's fucking sad. They are just trying to milk money out of fans and that is disgusting

  6. Hey guys, this is Jeff from the Overwatch team (lul)
Based on BlizzCon 2019 and interviews…
All the pvp part (heroes, maps, push mode) will be free for OW 1 players
The pve part and new look of the heroes will be in OW 2 (no idea of price, maybe out in autumn 2020, but the dev said: the game will be out when it will be ready)
No, we’re not getting fooled like Fifa fans each years by paying the same game twice
And no, that’s not a 60$ DLC. This is a free big update (for the pvp part)

So shut the f'ck up saying ''this is more like a 60$ useless DLC'' This game is in pre-development, like 5% done and the pvp part will be 100% free, so inform yourself before saying sh-

  7. To the people calling it a DLC there's an entire campaign AND upgraded graphics. I don't remember a dlc that gave better graphics 🤔

  8. The creator of Overwatch wasn't kidding of adding someone here for Smash Bros. I am starting to think perhaps someone should join for Smash.

  9. I just read in the official site that Overwatch players can play against Overwatch 2 players, and play in the new levels using the new characters… so what’s the point in buying Overwatch 2 then..? Even the Wikipedia article says “While it will be sold as a separate game, all-new heroes, maps, and competitive gamemodes will also exist in Overwatch.”

  10. From a developer and publisher standpoint, the cross between both OW and OW2 rosters doesn’t really convince the people to buy the sequel. In the perspective of the consumer, this is actually really beneficial. However, I would have wanted people who buy the sequel to be rewarded with more exclusive stuff. Sure the sequel gets an overhaul with graphics and a story mode, but people who only really like the multiplayer will have little incentive, especially if this game is priced at standard AAA level. One solution that rewards OW2 owners is to lock all future heroes behind a paywall, which would be unlocked to those who buy the sequel. If the devs are feeling more generous, they could make it similar to unlocking legends in Apex Legends, where you can spend real money or currency earned through playing the game to unlock new characters. Again, the model currently is very beneficial to OW owners who have no reason to buy the sequel. But I just feel like this change, although it might frustrate OW players, will establish a legitimate reason to buy the new game, as many people, such as myself, will see other people playing the new heroes and be convinced to buy the game ourselves.

  11. I’m hoping sojourn is support but she looks like dps. We need more supports and tanks and a few legacy heroes need to be reworked to help with their place in pvp

  12. I think the main reason for overwatch 2 is that even if they added all of these new changes and made crazy new features that are good alot of old players aren't gonna come back still and newer players will remain the same in numbers overwatch 2 might give new and old fans a chance to rejoin overwatch not sure if i agree with it but it will most likely provide nice results just for being "new"
