Supersampling, TXAA, MSAA, SMAA, MLAA, FXAA, oh my! It’s hard to understand what types of antialiasing do even though they all get rid of jagged edges, but we explain them all in brief for you.

What areas of gaming tech would you like to learn more about?
Wow Gamespot has someone in the office that understands hardware and technology. Very refreshing!
Great breakdown. Concise and to the point with no fluff. Nicely presented too.
So which anti aliasing has the least input lag?
Thank you so much! I'm new to PC gaming and really appreciate these videos.
When I try to stream Titan Quest Anniversary Edition on Twitch, some people say that the text is blurry. I've tried to lower the texture, detail effects, etc..The only thing that seemed to work was when I removed the antialiasing. Could it be that the game is so old, nothing can be done to smooth out the text?
Very well done. Simple enough for me to understand. …. SUB-ED!!!
If a game has MLAA as the only AA option and it's enabled while using an NVidia card, is it actually using FXAA?
2:05 game name plzzz
MSAA, FXAA, TXAA, LMAA ^^
This is so helpful. Thank you.
What about DLSS?
I just want to say I really appreciate this. My gaming computer was given to us by my brother in law and as amazing as it is, I know squat about it.
Yeah, right. Use 10 different games to show. How to differentiate? Can't you use one game?
game at 3:05 ???
My only question is what this means in relationship to hit-boxes in fps?
Does it enhance/make the hit-box edges smoother too?
Or should I keep it off to see pixel-for-pixel where I need to shoot?
A very helpful and simple video. Thank you! C:
2:35 this man clearly does not play rocket league
dishonored 2 on preview
game with worst anti aliasing i ever witnessed
What about CMAA?
MFAA just entered the chat, – drops mic and walks out – …
I don't like FXAA because it leaves edges with this weird shimmering effect. In my experience, it's TAA that makes everything blurry.
