  1. What in the fuck are people talking about when they say "downgrade" or "graphics look like they're from 2010" are you people serious? Downgrade from what exactly? it looks the same apart from the fact the gameplay demo from 2015 was most likely presented on a PC to ensure the game looked as good as possible. The game still looks amazing, it's running DX12 and the lighting and art direction is gorgeous. A game could have photo realistic graphics but if it has a rubbish art direction then it's pretty much a waste. You also have to keep in mind that whilst not open world, the hubs are pretty expansive and intricate down to every last detail, with all that in mind I still think this game looks amazing.

  2. I love this series, have played through the DE:HR twice, but the graphics here could definitely be better. It looks like they forgot to finish the textures

  3. I'm really drawing parallels between this game's plot synopsis, and the current political situation concerning globalization versus nationalism. It's like the Augs are the leftist, marxist/communist portion of society who want to destroy the social, physical, and political borders of the western world in the name of political correctness and progressiveness, and everyone else are the conservative nationalists who are fighting to preserve their culture, roots, and identity.

  4. I want this, in VR with VR controller support. I want to be able to look down at my robot arms and watch the blade come out in first person

  5. When will games look good graphically? Lol "oh we are coming out with an all new generation of console next year, except there will be about 10 game total released for said system that keep up with this new generation talk, everything else will be Xbox or ps2 graphics"

  6. What's with the baked in black bars? Why put the extra effort in? Some of us have a 21×9 monitor.
Youtube has a theatre mode that is meant for ultra wide video.

  7. (sighs) Such a disappointment this game was. I wanted it to be good. Heck, I wanted it to be even better than Human Revolution, but it just didn't deliver. I know it wasn't completely the developers' fault, but this game was just lacking in so many areas compared to the HR.

From the story to the choice of locations to the characters you interact with. Heck, even the selection of weapons they have are downgraded. So many were recycled from the last game that if it wasn't for the fact it had several different ammo types, it would have been even worse.

That's really the only thing I can praise this game for over HR. Everything else is either the same or not as good. It's just really sad the more I think about it. I wanted to learn more about the DX1 characters and plots yet to unfold in the prequel and instead they go with some stupid aug segregation bull crap I couldn't care less about?

For shame, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix.

  8. Poor voice actors, performing edgy lines about gameplay mechanics… I don't particularly like Adam but he is okay I guess. Too much forced "rebellion" in the character but honestly, DeusEx's protagonists have always had the character depth of a concrete slab so even badly written sounds like a one up from not written at all 🙂
Finished DEHR today. so I will be going around posting reviews and comments about it that nobody will read. 🙂
