  1. So the reason for it being VR exclusive is that it would just look too generic on it's own? Do people really need a gimmick to sell a game these days?

  2. With Mad Max proving that big-budget R-rated films can turn a profit, the success of Everest and this game (snowy expedition thrillers) are going to determine whether Guillermo Del Toro will be able to make At the Mountains of Madness.

  3. This looks really, really interesting. Clearly based off of H. P. Lovecraft's "At The Mountains Of Madness", which is awesome in all kinds of ways.

  4. I thought the same as you, but kept such an opinion to myself as you can't criticse 3rd person vr game without giving it a go first, & then damaging the market for 3rd person vr with an ignorant opinion . Having now tried this game, I must say I thoroughly enjoy 3rd person vr games now more than I thought I would & they are a lot, lot, I mean a lot better than flat screen gaming. Basically my initial thoughts were wrong that vr has to be 1st person. It doesn't! Some vr games are better suited to 3rd person & it works well as you're still a lot more immersed in the game world. I wish more people do not base an opinion without giving it a go first. Otherwise such remarks may mean 3rd person vr games are not made as much & we are limited to 1st person games only which have their own limitations that 3rd person games do not. Plus it will be easier to create and port a lot of 3rd person games to vr. 1st person vr takes a lot more work. So please do not say 3rd person games are not for vr – they totally are and are way better than flat screen games as they are very immersive indeed.
