Robespierre was one of the good ones in my book, unfairly depicted here.
The french call him "the incorruptible" for a reason and his votes and decisions are a testament to how far he was willing to go for the peasants who had no voice. Also, he had no illusions as to the fact that he might end up being eaten by the revolution while he was in the committee.
