  1. very impressive looking game and setting with a badass girl who is strong, remindes me of uncharted gana pick this up. i didnt want it at first because of thr previous boring tr games but this one seems like uncharted creators help develop this

  2. I don't get this games good reviews. Laras animations are goofy and overdone, the combat is generic, enemy models reappear all the time, the game feels really linear even though it's not, puzzles are really easy… I love 3rd person action games and adventure games, but this is just really bland and not that good.

  3. I personally found this game fantastic. By far one of the best games ive played in a long time. I highly, highly recommend it. Could not put it down, was constantly annoying the girlfriend by playing this game all the time. For me it was near on perfect and I loved it. 9.5/10

  4. People say it's like a movie but I want  a game not a movie. If I want to see a movie i'll watch a fucking movie. A "game" being like a movie does NOT make it a great game (see gtav) fucking stupid people.

  5. i dont know but in all games that i played in pc,tomb raider 2013 is one of the games i really addicted to play with and it really hype me soo much.the gameplay is really really badass
    goty 2013 for me

  6. God I can't wait to play this tonight. (It's free on 360 tonight) I've been putting off playing this for a while. Mainly because there were always other games I wanted first. But I've definitely been wanting to try this one.

I came from the IGN review. It wasn't a bad review, it's just that it didn't show a lot of real gameplay. Most of it was the scripted areas, or cutscenes. So you didn't really see gameplay of Lara walking around much, or doing much. It was a lot of QTEs and semi-scripted hallways and stuff in that review.

This review mentioned that there's "cinematic setpieces" that take control away from the player, but also mentions they're good, and "rival situations from Indiana Jones and Uncharted". Again, I haven't played the game, but honestly, I don't consider "taking control away from the player" to be a good thing. An occasional QTE isn't too bad, but in the video alone, you mentioned 2-3 times when it happens, and then SHOWED another 2-3 times it happened. That's 4-6 times it happens in the game. That's a bit much don't you think?

  7. I didn't care for the shakiness of the camera on Tomb Raider. Other than that detail (which prevent me from playing it) I'd say great game.

  8. There's always ONE Smart arse thinking he is clever by saying "There's not many Tombs to raid for a Tomb Raider game" .. get it? YES. We get it. You prefer the old dragged out puzzle games of the 90's. The puzzles aren't what makes you replay a game. Once you solve them, they become dull & annoying. Thankfully the developers knew this & made it more about the adventure & the characters. 9/10

Rise is .. meh. Ok. I guess. Very bland with it's setting, story, dialog & (lack of) characters. But it has more lame puzzles & more annoying AI.. which some ppl seem to think accounts for a decent game. o.O 6/10

  9. This reboot is the first game in the series to have a Mature 17+ rating in the United States.

This reboot is set in the present day, which requires a younger Lara to match. Therefore, her canonical birthday is February 14th, 1992. Which makes her about 21 during the course of the game.

For the first time in the Tomb Raider franchise, Camilla Luddington provided both the voice and motion capture for Lara Croft.

Batman Begins" and "Arrow" are considered possible strong influences behind the reboot.

Tomb Raider (2013) is the second time the series has been rebooted. Tomb Raider: Legend (2006) was the first attempt to reboot the series.

Like Batman Begins (2005) the video game which a reboot of Tomb Raider (1996) (Video Game) is a dark reinvention of the character. Like the Christian Bale incarnation of Batman, the game is about Lara Croft, as she learns to fight and to survive whilst marooned on a island becomes the warrior, adventuress and architect she is destined to be – The Tomb Raider.
